ell Kay ‘s New Banger ‘Bana Phwanya’ is Taking Over the Game!
Kell Kay’s mission was to break into new markets and take his music to the next level. And, boy, has he delivered! With his latest collab, ‘Bana Phwanya’, featuring Yo Maps Yo and Prince Luv he’s not only penetrated new markets but also created a regional phenomenon. This smash hit has racked up a whopping 2.2 million views on YouTube and over 1.5 million streams on Boomplay, solidifying its place as a cross-border sensation.
TikTok is flooded with over 120K videos grooving to its sick beats, while Spotify can’t get enough, with 277,000 streams and counting! But what’s even more impressive is that ‘Bana Phwanya’ is topping charts in Uganda, Kenya, and Zimbabwe, proving that Kell Kay’s strategy to collaborate with other artists has paid off big time.
So, all Malawians criticizing the tune that it doesn’t have the usual Kells feel know that you weren’t the primary target audience. It was deliberate and it has paid off.
