The Government of Malawi through the National Statistical Office (NSO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health has launched the training of field supervisors, enumerators and biomakers for the 2024 Malawi Demographic and Health Survey (MDHS). The survey is being conducted with technical expertise from ICF Macro and funding from Government, USAID, World Bank, UNICEF, UNFPA, UNHCR, NAC and other partners.

The MDHS is a national sample survey designed to provide information on population, fertility, family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, nutrition, HIV and AIDS and other indicators.

Teams will be deployed across the country for the data collection phase from mid-may for a period of about three to four months.
